Founded in 2010, Texila American University College of Medicine (TAUCOM) is an accredited, private medical university located in Georgetown, Guyana. TAUCOM offers a US—modeled Doctor of Medicine (MD) curriculum with a strong emphasis on clinical competence and global health perspectives. The university is accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP), the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM), the National Accreditation Council of Guyana (NACG), and the British Accreditation Council (BAC).

With modern facilities, small class sizes, and a diverse student body from over 35 countries, TAUCOM provides a student-centered learning environment that blends Caribbean hospitality with U.S. medical education standards.
