Career Experience

I have worked in academic settings since 1983 -- first as an admissions officer and later, for about 20 years, as a college teacher. I taught subjects like accounting, statistics and marketing in both classroom and online settings. I have spent a lifetime working with mostly young students (college age) but have also spent time teaching adults -- particularly working with adults in degree completion programs. Learning is such a positive activity!

I Love Tutoring Because

I love to work with students who want to both learn and who want to succeed in academic settings. Education has two elements -- the learning part is important -- we need to know things about how the world works. The other element is having the tenacity to work through each learning experience -- mostly found in classrooms -- by figuring out what it takes to complete each class successfully. I want to help students do both!
