Career Experience
I have been tutoring/teaching accounting, finance and advanced English as a second language online for 6 years. Prior to teaching, I was a human resources officer in the US Navy. I have since retired from the US Navy.
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy learning something new every day myself. For this reason, there is no better way to enhance learning than to constantly refresh your skills and also to teach others. What I enjoy most about tutoring is that moment when a fellow learner has grasped a challenging topic and moved closer to their goal. Knowledge is power and I like to be able to empower others in this way. I listen to students' needs in order to get a better understanding of their learning needs and goals. I am just a subject matter expert and a facilitator of your learning. I believe strongly in the value of education, self-learning and continuous learning. You will be a better learner if you approach each topic from your interests and from a discovery approach.
